The Range Rover has got lots of space for passengers up front and two adults in the rear. The driving position gives a brilliant view of the road ahead and the Bi-xenon adaptive front lighting aid you when traveling at night. These also swivel when you turn into junctions spreading the light to give an even greater view of the road. Our test vehicle had a Harmon/Kardon entertainment system fitted into the Range Rover and it should prove great for rear passengers to break up their journey as they can watch a DVD or plug in MP3 players and listen to music. The system also works as a sat-nav to aid the driver and this kit has both on and off-road functions to navigate you across any terrain. The Range Rover V8 Vogue SE on test was priced at £69,495 but we also had a number of optional extras on board. These included Active rear locking differential at £446, DVD twin screen rear entertainment system priced from £2,400, Four-zone air con at £1,050 and the Venturecam from £400. This car emitted 294g/km of CO2 but before you wince Land Rover offsets the carbon emissions for the first 45,000 miles of the vehicles life as they are involved in projects which include renewable energy, technology change and energy efficiency initiatives.
